Parent Workshops
JB Parents and Guardians,
On behalf of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Division of Special Education, Psychological Services/Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services (ERICS), we invite you to participate in Parent Counseling and Training (PCT) workshops. The purpose of PCT is to offer you information on child development, to enhance your knowledge and understanding of your child’s learning and social emotional needs, and to assist you in acquiring skills to support the implementation of your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). PCT workshops are free of cost, and we invite you to participate virtually. We acknowledge your commitment to your child’s success in school and look forward
to assisting you in this process. To maximize your experience, we encourage you to attend as many virtual workshops as possible.

- Parenting strategies using research on children’s brain development
- Social and emotional well-being using research based practices
- Listening and responding to your child with guidance and positive discipline
- Building a relationship between home and school
El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Los Ángeles (LAUSD, por sus siglas en Inglés), División de Educación Especial, le invita a participar en los talleres virtuales de Consejería y Capacitación para Padres/Parent Counseling and Training (PCT, por sus siglas en Inglés) ofrecidos por parte de los Servicios Psicológicos (Educationally Related Intensive Counseling Services (ERICS, por sus siglas en Inglés). El propósito del PCT es ofrecerle información sobre el desarrollo del niño, mejorar su conocimiento y comprensión acerca de el aprendizaje y necesidades socio-emocionales de su hijo, así como ayudarle a adquirir habilidades para apoyar la implementación del Programa de Educación Individualizada (IEP, por sus siglas en Inglés) de su hijo. Los talleres de PCT son gratuitos, y le invita a participar virtualmente. Reconocemos su compromiso para el éxito escolar de su hijo y queremos seguir apoyándole durante este proceso. Por lo cual, les recomendamos que asista virtualmente al máximo número de talleres con el fin de aumentar su capacitación.
