Dear Parents/Guardians,
This family resource from Common Sense Education provides six practical strategies for addressing cyberbullying and online harm. Families are encouraged to help children understand what cyberbullying is, check in regularly about their online experiences, practice ways to step away from digital conflict, and support others who may be experiencing bullying.
The resource also encourages students to take breaks from online drama and outlines important steps to follow if bullying continues, including saving evidence, blocking the person involved, and reporting the situation to a trusted adult.
We encourage JBMS families to review these tips together and continue conversations at home about kindness, courage, responsible online behavior, and where students can turn for help when something online does not feel right.
Thank you.
