For the 2021-2022 school year, John Burroughs Middle School will continue to be a Verizon Innovative Learning School. This is an initiative that puts technology in the hands of our students, helping us toward our vision of an innovative and exciting learning environment for every student.

 

The mission of John Burroughs Middle School is to provide a nurturing and creative learning environment which is sensitive to the needs of students, faculty, parents and community, based upon mutual cooperation and trust.

 

The Verizon Innovative Learning project provides free technology, free internet access, and hands-on learning experiences to help give all of our students the education they deserve. Through our collaboration with Verizon and Digital Promise, a national education technology non-profit, we are able to equip every student and teacher at our school with an iPad and a data plan. In addition to free technology and access, Verizon Innovative Learning Schools receive teacher training, support, and the opportunity to engage in a unique curricula that leverages technology in their classrooms.
