Dear parents and guardians,
If your eighth grader is eligible for culmination, please have them check their L.A.U.S.D. e-mail and complete the survey included. We will need all their forms by today so that they can participate in the virtual or in-person culmination.

BBC Message Script Sent on 5/27:
Dear Eligible 8th Grade Students and Parents,
We are excited to provide the opportunity for an in person culmination event for eligible students, on the field at John Burroughs Middle School, to celebrate our 8th graders.
We are calling with some important information regarding the 8th Grade culmination ceremony. The 8th Grade Culmination Letter, Media Release Form, Middle School Community Events Contract and Textbook Collection Schedule by Homeroom documents are all available on the 8th Grade Schoology Group. Please review and complete the necessary documents as soon as possible.
In order to participate in the IN-PERSON CULMINATION CEREMONY, there are 3 documents we will need from students and parents:
- Media Release Form - Posted in the 8th Grade Schoology Group
- Negative Covid-19 Test result from June 3d or later
- Middle School Community Events Contract - Completed and Signed
All of these documents must be submitted to Ms. Suzie Ahn at [email protected] by 5:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 in order to participate in the ceremony.
By signing the contract, you are agreeing to the following:
All students must have a negative COVID-19 test result from June 3rd or later.
All students must have a Daily Pass scanned by a staff member before entering the school site.
All participants including students, family members of students, and staff must wear a face covering at all times.
Extra Masks and Hand Sanitizer will be on hand and Social Distancing protocols will be in place.
Appropriate clothing must be worn by students (please review culmination attire).
