Our Magnet Program Coordinator Mr. Corral explains the Accept and Decline process for families who applied to eChoices Programs, addressing the "Selected Letter" as well as the "Waitlist Letter."

hello everyone. My name is Mister Crown I'm going to be talking about hopefully I provide will provide sometime to answer some questions regarding the process for for each race is mr. I so this is what it looks like when you log in you're going to have your dashboard in on your dashboard is going to show all the schools that. and you can track your application on the far right there to read a little application icon and then the two pounds of the middle student ID information on file as a parent student and sometimes you're going to multiple I'm just got back. and then it's going to let you know that you have a result letter that you need to review and that there's action that happened to play something so and then you're going to be a review there a result letter and then it's going to say if and ask you if you want to accept or decline that's cool I know he still thinks the Magna is going to be for that now once you accept this is your time that you need to accept when you actually applied and encourage parents apply for every program that you think you're eligible for their child in the hopes of attending the school now you might have gone into other programs time when you decide to I want to go into the magnet program do I want to go or do I want to go in language program preschool the choice between and the essay is going to be you're going to come down to the house so if you are vested into the magnet program and you do want to Magnet High School I highly encourage you to magnet I will receive your regulation points to help you but there's another Direction. then the point on an issue if you're wait-listed there's nothing to do about ringing I will actually contact you when there is fixed or when there's an opening and how that works for us is I know already. So my 200 some-odd teacher 6th grade are spelled however some parents may decide at this point you know when I see I'm not going to John Burroughs I'm moving out of the area or I decided to go to a charter school just there's so many different variables that might happen during three weeks and then I have a spot that opens up parents have to make that decision of accepting or declining and even that week there's still a little cleanup with the system so I won't actually start making calls on my waitlist so the middle to the end of spring break because will be a time where the district and you know we do our due diligence but after certain and that does happen traditionally so busy calling in some ways middle to the end of April still don't stop to the next school year all right so if you for your accept on the bottom see all your schools listed you were selected to you would just accept or decline the school now going difference with magnet and then the other schools there's an added later if you do qualify for transportation I ain't heard you to just say yes and you will you will you will be taken advantage of it it's better to have it replaced now rather than and not being placed later and even if you don't use that route it will still be available I'm also once you accept the magnet are the SAR actually here except because you were accepted to the other schools goes acceptances Will Will just disappear on the wait list for those you will not be out of the waitlist because of the language would be automatically right now let's say you accept and then I have another school that you were actually interested but you want to make sure there's a place for you to go except John Burroughs and trying to get into laces or just another school you can always do it later and now that that once you confirm your accepted a client's decision is final it is final you'll get a congratulations message or email confirmation that will receive an RN that you have accepted the program now that the clients are you going to have all your school you can still wait again until the 8th right you have you know you don't want don't you like you didn't want to go to that you're waiting on the other two for the program you choose to decline the other ones in place until the 8th you or near you can decline the other two schools and that one's full wait until they it's totally up to you animal take a nap at the client to confirm you know if you even to wait until I yell if you need to find look at us after you confirm I'm just saying that you can find a program and your mother my messages every single notification received your choices always login and go to my messages in your letter just a few frequently asked questions for the the process and what if I didn't get into my number that's a big question I do got a lot like parents place to place jumper Thomas Starr King Middle School and then the district selected for you the only way to join us are JB that you can accept now I wouldn't suggest you could find when I get other spot right away again because right now I'm at capacity but it's really hard to predict what's going to happen how many openings are going to have with family that change their minds for whatever reason so I would encourage you to if you if you're shopping around and then continue to shop around to the delayed application process I think the most stressful thing is to find yourself without a program choosing to go to now if this happens and you're on the way to listen to continue to be on a waitlist you will have to start the school year with the job so whatever homeschool is your area that you're supposed that will be your school in residence for 4 day 1 until you find a program for the next four year so next one is I'm I'm on the waiting list. thank you again this is a great time to create as many applications for or any program right now to the late application.
